MASTERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST MODULES IN HEART FAILURE

The School of Health and Life Sciences within Glasgow Caledonian University is offering a suite of Masters Professional Development specialist modules in Heart Failure and Heart Failure and Palliative Care. These short modules are aimed at Health and Social Care Professionals from across all Health Care Settings who have a specialist role or interest in the combined concepts of Heart Failure, Palliative Care or both. Professionals will learn about the theories specific to Heart Failure and Palliative Care, with a strong emphasis on practical skills that can be applied directly to clinical practice. These modules are supported by multidisciplinary clinical experts and include innovative learning methods to facilitate independent and flexible learning.

 

Masters Level, Chronic Heart Failure: Optimising Health & Wellbeing (30 credits) adopts a blended learning approach to delivery. The face to face learning approach will be delivered from Glasgow Caledonian University.  The cost of this module is £890.

 

Masters Level, Supportive Palliative Care for Patients with Advancing Heart Failure (15 credits) adopts a traditional face to face learning approach and will be delivered from Glasgow Caledonian University. The cost of this module is £445.

 

Funding applications for either of these modules will be considered on an individual basis by the British Heart Foundation.

RILA COURSE IN LONDON

The Postgraduate Courses open to UK and non-UK based healthcare professionals, have been devised to improve the care of patients across a range of clinical areas by creating Practitioners (Doctors, Primary Care Physicians and Nurses) with a Special Interest (PwSI) to provide care at an intermediate tier level.
