IMPLANTABLE CARDIOVERTER DEFIBRILLATORS (ICDs) IN PATIENTS WHO ARE REACHING THE END OF THEIR LIFE
This booklet is for healthcare professionals involved in caring for dying patients with an active defibrillator device. The aim is to raise awareness of the potential dilemmas that devices such as ICDs introduce in advanced disease management and to promote discussion about the possibility of deactivating the defibrillator function of the ICD in patients who are reaching the end of their life. You can download the booklet here.
