Brian is member of the Research Committee and a previous observer to the Board, He has insight into the considerable strengths of the Society and the areas where we can continue to grow and develop.

As Councillor, Brian wants to focus on ensuring the delivery of the Society’s existing priorities including 25in25 and to improve access to world class UK heart failure research for all health professionals.

He is keen to work with the cardiology trainees to attract growing numbers of trainee members and to ensure that the Society delivers on its objectives concerning education and training. He would also like to grow our strength in heart failure specialist nursing and expand the number of cardiac pharmacists and physiologists in the Society.
