Patricia Campbell

Professor Patricia Campbell is a Consultant Cardiologist (Southern Trust, Northern Ireland) and the Heart Failure Lead for Northern Ireland and a member of the BSH Board.

Patricia is a graduate of the University College Dublin, having completed her residency training between Ireland and the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale. She also completed her Heart Failure fellowship under Lynne Stevenson and echocardiography research under Scott Solomon, in Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Her Heart Failure team are the first in the UK to be awarded accreditation as a Specialised Centre of Quality Care by the European Society of Cardiology.

She is the Medical Director for Research in the Southern Trust, and also the principle investigator for many trials in heart failure

She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and Honorary Professor of Queen’s University Belfast 

Patricia sits on the Clinical Advisory Board of the HF charity ‘Pumping Marvellous’, and on the board of the Irish Cardiac Society.
