The BSH strategic priorities for Research
The BSH has launched it’s new Strategic Plan for 2026-30. This plan sets out our priorities for research activity over the coming years, developed in partnership with the Research Forum.
Research Investigator Network
The Research Investigator Network sits under our Research Forum and is involved in the promotion and advancement of heart failure research. The RIN helps champion early career researchers and those from less traditional backgrounds.

The Research Forum exists to foster collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation in research that improves outcomes for people living with heart failure. The Forum also ensures the effective delivery of the Research Investigator Network.

Promote and encourage involvement in Heart Failure research
Endorse research projects that align with the BSH’s mission
Focus on strategic collaboration and external engagement to support efficient, impactful and collaborative research
Oversee the BSH Heart Failure Fellowship award scheme
Disseminate information on research opportunities, progress and outcomes to the BSH membership and wider community
Oversee the effective delivery of the BSH Research Investigator Network.
